The mixed metal oxides are formed on the substrate through a process of thermal-decomposition, creating an oxide coating of the platinum group metals. The oxide coatings have many superior performances, such as

  MMO coatings demonstrate very high chemical stability even in      environments with very low Ph values.

  The coating is not affected by the generation of chlorine.

  The wear rate of the anode is extremely low and uniform and between 1 and  6 milligrams/ampere-year.

  The anode dimensions remain nearly constant during the design life.

Cable to Anode Connection

MMO tubular anodes are center connected with different lengths of 1X10mm2 PVDF/HMWPE cable with less than 0.001ohm resistance. Cable outer jacket is HMWPE conforming to ASTM D1248 Type 1 and inner sheath is PVDF. Conductor is stranded copper of 99% pure, conforming to BS 6004 & 6360. The anodes are resin filled and helium tested for an effective seal of the connection. The cable end of the anode is protected with a teflon sleeve.
